Sins of the Martyr

'Sins of the Martyr'
The piece begins with an enquiring staccato pattern for strings. This then drops into a bass section, and the strings gradually gain intensity. Throughout, there are two significant build ups followed immediately by short and dramatic pauses.
The piece then moves into a chaotic arpeggio sequence for piano, which eventually settles into the 'Theme for a Martyr’, a memorable and simplistic theme for solo piano. The piece then dies away into silence.
